Dolly Shah, Dallas based mixed media visual artist is renowned for her impressionistic yet modern contemporary paintings. Originally from Bangalore, India, her deep connection to Indian traditional culture occassionally surfaces in her work, contributing to the revival of Indian visual art forms.


Having done Masters in Apparel Technology and Management she embarked her journey as a Fashion Designer for a reputed Export house. Simultaneously she started conceptualising and customising essential home products that gave birth to the brand “The Concepto’.


While in Hong Kong for couple of years got her back to her childhood passion for painting. Her soft ethereal palette is complemented often by occasional bright pop of colour. The personal edge that Dolly brings to each of her paintings enhances recognisable subject matter cultivating an imaginative visual experience. She mesmerises with her intricacies and detailed work which often takes months to finish a piece. Experiencing varied cultures in multiple geographies, she has developed global clientele for her artwork.


Dolly firmly believes art can spread happiness, fosters creativity, promotes emotional well-being, enhances cognitive skills and provides a means of self expression and communication.
